Recently mike Pompeo and tis delegates visited Turkey for some rounds of discussions. Among the topics, the United-States voiced additional concerns over Turkey’s deal to purchase numerous anti-aircraft weapon system from Russia, all the while requesting the purchase of F-35’s from the U.S.
While I respect the United-States concerns over their technology being possibly scrutinized by Russia, it is very misleading to state such possibility because the F-35 program is known to have been largely compromised. Probably close to 95% of the aircraft’s construct and avionics is known to Russia, and in great details. What’s left? Perhaps a few avionics and weaponry proper to U.S operated aircrafts, those are valuable to Russian agencies, not the export models destined for foreign markets such as Turkey.
